Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 18 years and 5 months old | 5 lbs
My cat is 18 and she seems to be sneezing a lot and snot flies everywhere sometimes, this has been going on for over 6 months. Also, sometimes after the sneezing fit her head/mouth smells bad, any idea why this is happening and how to fix it?

Poor Kitty! It could be that she is suffering from severe dental disease. This can be common in elderly cats, and it would cause her mouth to smell very badly. As for the sneezing, that could be caused by a respiratory infection or allergies. The nasal discharge could also be caused by a respiratory infection and allergies, but cancer is also a possibility. I would have Kitty seen by a vet in the morning. The vet can examine her mouth, do a physical exam, geriatric blood panel, urinalysis, and x-rays to diagnose what is causing all of her symptoms. Once the cause is found, the vet can discuss treatment options.
