Some possible causes could be consuming something out of the ordinary, something infectious, parasitic infection, and pancreatitis, among other causes. Your veterinarian may recommend x-rays and blood or other diagnostic tests as needed. Until you can get to his veterinarian, I would recommend withholding food from him for the next several hours (he can have water) to give his stomach a break. I hope this helps!
