Kitten drank goat milk, now vomiting & lethargic. Will she recover?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

We have a 6 week old kitten that I accidentally gave some condensed goat milk to without diluting it. About 8 hours later she has puked a couple times and is staggering, acting lethargic when she is usually playful. Is this something she will likely get over? My mom is afraid she will die.

Goat milk, even if condensated, is not toxic to kittens but it may cause bad gastroenteritis. If she is unsteady on legs and very lethargic you should take her to your local vets to check her over. Otherwise you should offer her small amount of food and water and monitor her at home for the next few hours. She should fully recover and be back to normal in 24-48hrs.
