Is my puppy truly worm-free after deworming and a clear test?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

If my puppy was given two doses of dewormer before I got her at 8 weeks, and she had a negative fecal test at 8 weeks, could she be considered worn free?

She could be but it's still possible she has worms. A negative fecal does not ensure they are 100% worm free. It is still recommend to have 2 more dewormings prior to 6 months of age. Pets can give people worms so it's very important to keep up with the basic standard of care. It will not hurt her to have the dewormings. I hope this helps.
