How to stop my excited 8-month-old Pitbull from jumping and biting?

My brother has a 8 month old pitbull. I take care of him sometimes. Our concern is everytime myself or my boyfriend go over there he is jumping at our face, biting us, hanging off our arms and such. We are wondering if theres anything we can do to stop this behavior. He is not fixed yet. We think he's doing this because of excitement but unsure. He is a large dog with powerful jaws that could certainly hurt you or your boyfriend even if it is not intentional. He needs to be neutered and enrolled in training classes. He needs to know how to sit and politely greet people. He needs impulse control and basic manners. I fear he will hurt someone otherwise. I hope this information helps!
