My dog is drooling excessively and drinking more water. What's wrong?

My dog started drooling excessively yesterday to the oint his bed is soaked. Hes eating ok, but drinking more than normal, and seems fine in himself. What could it be. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 2 years and 4 months old
