My senior dog has a black ear lump. Is it a mole or something serious?

Pet's info: Dog | Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier | Male | neutered | 10 years and 6 months old | 60 lbs

My dog who is 10 years old, Turning 11 in July has a small black lump/mole thing on his ear.. He has many black bumps all over his skin but we were told that they are okay and nothing to worry about.

Hi, and thanks for your question. This lump/bump/growth should be ideally examined by your local vet to have a diagnosis established. Your vet may want to perform an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy to sample the bump and determine its underlying nature. Differentials would include skin cysts, benign or more malignant type of tumors.
