My 45 pound Bassett ate about 4 grapes. Given activated charcoal. Should I panic

Unfortunately the ingestion of just few grapes can be toxic to dogs. If you suspect that your pet has eaten any grapes or raisins, but the quantity is unknown, please contact your veterinarian immediately. Since there are still many unknowns associated with this toxicity, it is better not to take any chances. The most common early symptom of grape or raisin toxicity is vomiting, diarrhea, excessive thirst, excessive urination or lethargy. The goal of treatment is to block absorption of the toxins and prevent or minimize damage to the kidneys.
