Pet's info: Small Animal | Guinea Pig | Female | 1 year and 1 month old | 1lb

I woke up one day and my guinnea pig was not active so we hand fed her food and water she didn’t have puffed up fur near her head and her nose was ok I don’t know what happened she seems to be ok.She also likes to stay in her cage a lot and she isn’t very active.Would she be better health wise if she was active? If so how do we get her to start moving and being active?

Thanks for reaching out about your guinea pig. Being lethargic is a signs of being ill, so a veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. Providing some heat support could give some comfort but does not replace the need for a veterinary visit. Continue to offer food and water through a syringe. Monitor fecal production and urination. Good luck.
