Why is my senior dog losing weight, not eating, vomiting, coughing?

My dog black lab has lost a lot of weight and this last week has stopped eating completely except a few bites a day maybe. and has been throwing up and coughing like He’s trying to clear his throat he’s also 12

I hate to hear your pup is so sick. He needs to be examined by the veterinarian. Weight loss and not eating are signs of illness and just like people, pets can get sick for many many reasons including kidney disease or even cancer. Since he can't talk and tell you how he feels, he needs a physical exam to begin figuring out the cause. He will likely need some blood work and maybe radiographs. Bring a stool sample just in case. At his age, chronic diseases and cancer become more worrisome. I hope the doctor figures out the cause quickly and that he feels better quickly.
