My dog has bloody diarrhea and colitis. What should I do now?

Sirius has diarrhea and blood in his stool. He has colitis. How and what treatment is available. Is this life threatening. Any cures

Dogs with blood in the stool need to be examined by the veterinarian because this can indicate more serious disease. Sometimes fasting and a bland diet can help but it's best to play it safe. I hope Sirius feels better quickly.
