My cat is lethargic and sad but still eating. What could be wrong?

My 1 and half year old female cat has been very lethargic and seems sad. She is still eating and coming for treats. No vomiting or diarrhea. But she is usually more perky and talkative. What could be wrong? Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 1 year and 6 months old | 7 lbs

Just like people, there are many conditions that can make pets feel sick. This could range from bacterial over growth to intestinal blockage. Also like us, diseases are best addressed early and this may result in a better prognosis. If she is still 'off' after 24 hours or if she gets worse, have her examined by the veterinarian. The doctor will need to learn the underlying cause in order to give appropriate treatment. Bring in a stool sample in case the doctor needs to test it. I hope lacey starts feeling better quickly!
