Daisy is on wet food and has a very good appetite. All seems well but she has bad breath. I clean her teeth periodically and don't see any accumulation of tar. What can be the cause. Thank you.

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. There could be an infection in the mouth or there could be a piece of food that is lodged in between teeth that is festering and causing the odor. At this age, kitten teeth are in the process of falling out and there is also the chance that a kitten tooth broke loose or broke in half leaving a root behind and may be infected. I would recommend having Daisy examined so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made.
