My vet prescribed trazodone. Is 1-3 100mg pills safe for my 56lb dog?

That dose range is acceptable. The low end of dosing would be about 1.5 100 mg tablets for issues such as anxiety from fireworks, anxiety going to the vet’s, hyperactivity after a surgery where being calmer would be ideal. Unless your dog is super aggressive and the trazadone was prescribed prior to a visit for the safety of the veterinary staff, I would start with one 100 mg tablet and see how much of an effect it has on Ivy for the purpose indicated. If she doesn’t not seem appreciably calmer 30 min after the first tablet, you can give a second 30 min later.
