Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Female | unspayed | 5 years and 6 months old | 17 lbs
Hello, I have a very active female corgi x, she is 5 years old. It seems as though she hates food, as she would rather throw up bile after exercise instead of eating. I have tried many top quality foods, nothing really works. She will wait till she is starving before eating. In great physical health otherwise, I just worry and don't know why she does it. Her teeth seem fine. Is it mental? FYI she has parvo virus when she was a puppy. Thanks, Ellie.

Feeding right after exercise may worsen stomach upset, so I would give Fifi a bit to settle in and relax after an outing before offering food. It could be that she is a picky eater, and moistening her food or trying out a different flavor may encourage her to eat some more. You can also try offering smaller amounts more often through the day to avoid her stomach staying too empty (and causing bile vomiting) without overwhelming her with a large amount. If she vomits often, having your vet try out a prescription medication to help settle her stomach and reduce acid reflux may also be beneficial.
