It is difficult to tell exactly what is going on in this photo but from what I think I can see, this looks like an abscess (infection). The hair looks wet like there is some discharge coming from the lump. I suggest you take TJ to your vet for an exam. He will likely need to have some oral antibiotics and pain medications.
