My dog touched pest spray, face swelled. Is he okay after Benadryl?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) | Male | 10 lbs

I think my dog came into contact with an anti bed bug spray part of his face started to turn red and swelled up, I gave him Benadryl, the swelling and redness went down he’s acting normal and eating but I’m just scared and worried the vet said he should be fine that it could’ve been a bug bite but I think it was the pest spray

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. This kind of allergic reactions usually go down after Benadryl and applying cold compresses . However, if the swelling stays the same size, or if Thor starts to scratch the face or becomes unwell, you should take him to your local vets for steroids injection.
