My dog has a new, non-painful spot. Could it be a serious growth?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 2 months old | 80 lbs

I was wondering if you might know what this is? I just noticed it and wanted to make sure it wasnt anything life-threatening. It's not causing her any sort of pain or discomfort and shes not acting any different than usual. Any insight you may have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

That looks like a healing open wound but to be safe I would get your vet to check it, especially if it's come up suddenly or has changed size, shape, texture recently. She is young to have malignant growths but it's not unheard of even in younger dogs.
