Pet's info: Dog | English Springer Spaniel | Female | spayed | 1 year and 8 months old | 41 lbs
My dog has had diarrhea for the past week, she acts fine and wants to play. But she has been avoiding her food and eating a lot of grass. I changed her food to a plain food diet eggs, white rice, and chicken which she eats but no results. I make sure she drinks water so she doesn't get dehydrated. Her diarrhea has been brown to orange like a pumpkin. Is there something else I could do to help soothe her stomach or should I rush her to the vet?

Since this has been going on for a week, I think it's time to take her to the vet. She could have an infection or ate something that disagreed with her that started her stomach troubles. Your vet will do an exam and a fecal analysis and may decide to deworm her, even if her fecal is negative since the most common broad-spectrum dewormer is very safe and can't hurt. She may need another medication or the diarrhea may be a sign of an underlying condition that may need further diagnostics.
