My old cat has diarrhea and accidents. When should I see a vet?

I have a cat that is 13 yrs old she has developed diarrhea and has been having accidents since Friday

The diarrhea could be caused by a number of things, parasites, infection, even being constipated will sometimes show as diarrhea initially because liquid is all that can get by the hardened fecal material. If she is eating and drinking, that's good, since cats need to eat or they will develop liver problems in a matter of days. I would get her seen by your vet as soon as possible, especially if her appetite is down, if she is lethargic, her behavior has changed, any other adverse symptoms accompanying the diarrhea. Your vet will do an exam, some lab work and based on these results will be better able tot ell you what is wrong and how best to treat it.
