My dog is peeing blood and going out often. What should I do now?

Hi . I have a 71/2 year old female bishon shih tzu mix named Zoey. Since Yesterday evening I noticed she’s had blood in her urine. She also has been wanting to go out more frequently. I took her out in the middle of the night which has never happened before. She’s eating and drinking. I’m uploading a photo of a urine sample that I was able to get within the past 1/2 hour.

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Blood in urine is usually related to urinary tract infection. Please, take Zoey to your local vets as most likely she will need a course of antibiotics to get better. As Shih Tzu breed is prone to get bladder stones ( the tendency can be seen in Shih Tzu mix too) you vet may want to examine to the urine or scan the bladder to check for stones.
