I recommend to have Stripes examined by the veterinarian. This might be an anal gland abscess but it could also be some sort of wound. She needs a rectal exam. Make sure to protect the area from any licking and she may need to wear an elizabethan collar at all times. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

This looks like severe infection and possibly an abscess. It may be an anal gland abscess or, if Rani goes outdoors, a bite wound abscess. She should be physically examined by your veterinarian tonight. An abscess should be lanced and drained. She will likely need antibiotics and pain medication. Place an e-collar (cone) on her until she sees the doctor. If your veterinarian is unavailable, consider a visit to the nearest veterinary ER.
