Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | 7 lbs
Hello there, I have a cat, age 3-5 months, who has stopped eating for a couple of days now. There are no visible symptoms, such as a fever, nor complaints about any pains. Her nutrition is based on canned food for the most part, with the addition of some dried food and a couple of treats. Prior to this, she used to eat three times a day. She sleeps between 12-16 hours a day, she's still energetic and enjoys playing games. Do you have any recommendation? Thanks in advance.

This is odd - usually with a decreased appetite there would also be symptoms like lethargy, trouble breathing, discharge from the eyes or nose, or vomiting or diarrhea. Even though Una seems to be normal otherwise I still think it would be best to see your vet if it has been a full 48 hours since she has eaten anything. They might want to check some blood work to rule out something unusual like kidney disease, or they might recommend an x-ray to make sure she didn’t eat something that is causing an obstruction.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Baby. She needs to see a veterinarian right away. Three days is a very long time for such a young kitten to go without food. She needs to be examined to try to determine the source of her illness. Testing may be needed to aid in a diagnosis. Based on these results, treatment can be started. I worry that she will die of she does not start eating. I hope this information helps.
