My dog is shedding too much. Is it normal, and what can I do?

My dog sheds a lot of hair everyday...what can I do to reduce the hair fall. Is it normal or it is because of some other reason? Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 10 months and 12 days old | 38 lbs

Unfortunately, it's impossible to know if this is normal or not without an exam. Dogs do shed their entire coats about twice a year. If you see bald patches, flaky skin, red skin or scabs, this is indicative of pathology.
