Why is my puppy's scrotum red with brown dots after grooming?

My puppy got a haircut yesterday and I noticed that his scrotum is red and has brown dots on it. He hasn’t been picking at it or acting uncomfortable at all. Why is this? Is there any home remedy I can do to get rid of it? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 5 months and 6 days old | 14.4 lbs

This presentation could be due to a trauma or localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking.
