Why is my female rabbit bleeding from her backside? Is it a period?

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 6 months old | 3 lbs

I have a female rabbit 1yr 7mo she statred bleeding from backside like menstruate. Is it rare or can a rabbit have period ever or unusual? And of course like everyone I turned to google sorry. It said common uterus cancer, then uti and can't remember least common.Never said if a rabbit will do that. I have a4 year old female also both stay in own cage & don't play together because they act mean towards another. They stay inside & eat pellets, hay, carrots, treats sometimes. Please help thank you

Hi there. Im sorry to hear that your bunny isnt feeling well. Urinary tract infections and urinary bladder stones are both common in rabbits. Uterine cancer is pissible as well. I would encourage you to have her evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible. An x-ray will likely be recomended to help determine the diagnosis and best treatment plan.
