My cat is squinting one eye. What are the causes and what should I do?

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 9 days old | 9 lbs

This just happened and my cat has no problems what so ever but he is squinting one eye i think out of irritation but when i play with him his eye will become normal but when i first noticed he’s third eyelid was showing but it doesn’t now n this happened like and hour ago he seems fine it’s just he keeps squinting his eye please if you could please give me some tips or answers on what i should do because this is my first cat i have ever owned and he’s 4 1/2 months

This could be due to an eye injury or conditions such as a corneal laceration, corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, dry eye (also known as KCS), among many other conditions. I highly recommend that you have Gage evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Further therapy would be based on the findings. Good luck and best wishes!
