My dog ate a chocolate frosty. Is there enough chocolate to harm her?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 10 days old | 8 lbs

My dog just ate about half of a small chocolate frosty from Wendy's. I don't believe there is actually much chocolate in them but want to know if I should be concerned.

To be absolutely safe you could take coco to the vet to have vomiting induced. However there is not much point if it has been over an hour or 2. Dark chocolate cocoa powder tends to be the most dangerous. I doubt there will be much cocoa content in the frosty. She should be fine but I would keep a really close eye on her for the next few days and if you think she seems off form head to the vet.
