I found a hard, red, scabby spot on my dog. What could it be?

We found this on our dog. It's hard, red, and in the middle there was a scab. Do you know what it could be? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 8 lbs

I am not sure what it is, it could be an old insect bite, a fungal or bacterial infection, an allergic reaction or even the beginning of a lump. i would recommend monitoring it in the next couple weeks, if it seems to get bigger/worse- take Vilma to the vet in order to get it checked.
