Dog vomiting yellow, in pain, won't eat or drink on vacation.

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | unspayed | 10 months and 8 days old | 33 lbs

We are currently on holiday in a different town. For two days now my dog has vomited small amounts of yellow slime in the morning and yelps when she wakes up and if we try to pick her up. She did not have her normal appetite and today she did not want to eat anything. She does not even want to drink anything. She had her normal energy yesterday and was running on the beach, but today she yelps in pain and just lay and does not want to do anything

I am so sorry to hear that Layla isn’t feeling well. There are so many possibilities of what could be causing the vague symptoms you mention. Vomiting and pain do make me worried about an intestinal obstruction or pancreatitis. However, kidney infection, liver infection, and other possibilities exist as well. I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by a veterinarian in the area as soon as possible. Abdominal x-rays as well As blood work may be recommended to help determine the diagnosis and best treatment plan. Best of luck and I hope Layla improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
