Is it normal for my kitten to be sleepy and whine after vaccinations?

Hi my kitten (Blu) just got his first set of shots today. Now that’s he has gotten him all he wants to do is sleep and whines whenever we move him in the slightest. It’s been more than 3 hours now. Should I be concerned?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Possible side effects after vaccines include pain at the injection site, lethargy, inappetence and general discomfort. This should subside within 1-2 days. If it does not improve or it worsens, have Blu evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Otherwise, Blu will likely start feeling better shortly. Good luck and best wishes!
