Our 8 week old puppy seems to be really interested in the cats’ dry food. I discourage but he keeps going bad. Would it hurt him if he eats some? We are looking to place the cats’ food elsewhere. But until that time, should I worry that he is getting some?

It won't hurt him, so I wouldn't be that worried. There is nothing in cat food that would be toxic to dogs even if they ate it on a regular basis. The big difference between dog and cat food is the nutrient profile. They require different nutrients in different quantities, so a dog would eventually have nutritional deficiencies if they only ate cat food, but it's perfectly fine for them to have a little along with their dog food. I would just avoid letting him eat too much, because he can eventually become overweight. I hope that helps and all is well with Red.
