What is this bump on my new Betta fish's side? Is it serious?

We recently bought a Betta from a chain store pet shop. He is currently in a 10 gallon tank with a heater. He’s been eating and swimming around, acting fine. The first day we had him I noticed this bump. (Didn’t notice in the petstore but hard to see in those cups they keep them in) Here’s a side shot. Looks like one tiny fluid filled bump, size of a scale. Any ideas? Pet's info: Fish | Unknown - Fish | Male

It may be local infection or something he was born with. Keep an eye on it for rapid change or growth. Monitor him for lethargy or loss of appetite. Maintain pristine water quality and it may resolve on its own.
