This often indicates that something is either directly upsetting her stomach, or generally making her feel nauseous. This can be a start to a worse disease that causes vomiting, diarrhea, or other problems. However, sometimes this is just a temporary upset stomach. If she is showing other signs of illness (i.e. vomiting, decrease in activity), then it's best to take her to a vet doctor for an evaluation and treatment. Otherwise, it's best to just let her stomach rest and ensure she has plenty of water. If she is not drinking water well, then you can put rehydration salts (ORS) in her water. Sometimes it takes a day or two before they eat and it's OK as long as she is otherwise acting normal, because they can go weeks without eating before it's life-threatening. If she goes longer than two days without eating, then it's best to have a vet doctor evaluate her. If you have further questions or need further clarification, then you may consider having an online consult with one of our vets on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. This way, you can send unlimited pictures and have a text conversation with a vet. I hope that helps and Lucy gets better soon.
