Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | spayed | 5 years and 3 months old
Hello, My dog’s stomach was making noise this AM and she did not eat her breakfast, but she did eat a big meal last night. She had normal stool ending with diarrhea about 11:00 AM, which my partner attributed to the thunderstorm last night (she normally takes trazodone during storms, but did not). Her stomach is still making noises around 3:00 pm, and she had diarrhea again. This time the entire stool was diarrhea, with a gelatinous red blob towards the end. Two more drippy stools since.

Oh no, poor Faith. I can give you a home remedy to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, you see blood again in her stool, she starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away.
