My dog drinks more, pees inside, and is losing weight. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 5 years old | 11 lbs

my 5 year old dog started peeing in the house then ive noticed him drinking alot more too, last night he was sat on my knee and i couldn't believe how thin hes got hes never been overweight nor underweight hes eating normally and seems happy not in any pain

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Bailey. I would recommend that he sees his veterinarian. It sounds like he has a metabolic problem that is causing him to drink more, urinate more frequently (hence the accidents in the house) and lose weight. He could have diabetes. It best to have a diagnosis before he starts acting ill as it will be less complicated (and less expensive) to treat. I hope this information helps!
