My dog has a pus-filled bump on her back and flaky skin. What is it?

She has a bump on her back above her spine. It’s tiny & looks like it’s filled with pus. I don’t think she knows it’s there. Around 2015 she had a bump similar to this around the same area. The pus was drained (small amount) & it went away. Why could this be? She was groomed not too long ago & her skin is flaky like dandruff. What can I do for this? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 9 years and 2 months old | 4.3 lbs

It could be a cyst or a small pustule. You could bathe her with a shampoo like Duoxo Calm and see if that helps. Otherwise, have your vet take a look at it so see if she needs treatment or if it should be removed. She may need an antibiotic or anti-inflammatory to help.
