Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 11 years and 7 months old | 11 lbs
My kitty is 12yrs old, has always had very loose stool, often with blood. I've tried restricted diets, no dairy and have tried antibiotics - antibiotics have seemed to slightly help, and reduced the high odor level but not completely solved the problem (maybe related to short time antibiotic was used?). Any suggestions

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Diarrhea or loose stools can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Batboy evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They may choose to check for parasites and to start medications for diarrhea depending on the results. If you have not tried probiotics that is something else that would be worth trying. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
