All I can do is continue to put the cortisone cream on her and sanatizer the spot even though I feel like it isn’t doing anything. Waiting for the vet to call me to tell me they finished making Mia’s serum so we can get the itching under control. In this picture, it progressed to this in under a week. No matter what I do, she still ends up scratching. There should be a catergory for hopelessness on here. :(

Discuss a short course of steroids for Mia with your veterinarian. It may be enough to break the itch cycle. Afterwards, an antihistamine may prevent the itch from return. Other medications, such as Apoquel, Atopuca and CytoPoint should also be brought into the conversation. Place an e-collar (cone) or small tee shirt on her to prevent licking or chewing. Confirm she doesn't have fleas amd keep her on a monthly preventative. Even just one flea can cause a severe reaction in sensitive dogs. Discuss hydrolyzed diets and food elimination trials with your veterinarian as well.
