Lilly needs to be examined by the veterinarian. While infections can cause vomiting, other common reasons are intestinal blockages, toxin ingestion, kidney disease...etc. In an older female dog who is not spayed, a condition called a pyometra (which can be fatal) is also a concern. Lilly sounds like she is very sick and I recommend to have her examined today for correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Vomiting can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Sheru evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid he is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check his hydration status and give him medications to make him feel better. Good luck!

I recommend getting your pet in to be seen by your veterinarian right away. Continued vomiting is very concerning and can lead to dehydration and electrolyte imbalance as well as low blood sugar. She might have eaten something that either disagreed with him or something that has gotten stuck somewhere in his gastrointestinal tract. She could be sore from a hidden injury you are unaware of, she could have been exposed to some sort of toxin or irritant in her environment or this could be early signs of another condition or disease process. Your pet may need IV fluids to help support her system and to be fasted at the same time in order to give the gut a rest. Your vet can do an exam, blood work and possibly x-rays to determine the cause of the illness and suggest an effective treatment plan.

Since she is having diarrhea, vomiting after drinking, and won't eat; she should be examined by a vet to determine the cause and treat. She could have a virus, parasite, pancreatitis, gastritis/enteritis, obstruction, etc. and your vet can run lab-work and take an x-ray, if needed, to help diagnose and then prescribe medications to treat. She may need an anti-vomiting, anti-diarrhea medication, antibiotic, dewormer, and/or a gastrointestinal protectant to help treat the vomiting and diarrhea. She might also need some fluids to prevent dehydration. Hope she feels better soon!
