Our Hiuskie Snowden is 13 years old.Lately, she has not been eating hardly at all. She doesn't seem sick, and she's acting normally. She was at the Vet 2 months ago, and weighed 91 pounds. I'm very worried about her.Is there anything we can do to help her?? Thank you, Jewel Haines

Hello, I become concerned about dogs when they have a decrease in appetite, as it could be due to severe pain or nausea. I recommend having Snowden rechecked by her veterinarian. They can best guide you after a physical exam. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

At 15 years old so many things could be going on with her. If she has not had any blood testing done recently (like in the last 4-6 months) then I think that would be a good idea to have done. The vet can only tell so much with a physical exam; only what is going on with the outside, they can't tell how the internal organs are functioning without blood testing. It is not normal for them to just "not be hungry". Animals are not people. If they aren't eating normally there is usually an underlying cause.
