Pet's info: Small Animal | Hamster | Male | unneutered
My dwarf Russian hamster has a wet belly. I don’t think it is wet tail because his tail and butt are completely dry. It is just his neck and belly that are wet. He is walking around hunched over and squeaking and fall on his back ever time you touch him. He was caged with another full grown male hamster but they have been together for weeks. I have seen him nibble at food and will drink water from a syringe. I don’t have any Vets that will see a hamster in my area. Wet tail or Something else?

Thanks for reaching out about Hammy. If tail region is dry, unlikely to be wet tail. Urine scald, skin infections or others are possible. A veterinary visit is needed to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. You might have to convince your local vet to help out. Clean the environment in an attempt to keep dry and clean. Replace substrate with clean towels to lessen contamination of wound. Good luck.
