Pet's info: Bird | Parakeet | Male | unneutered
Hi there, Money is a bit tight right now, so I am trying to figure out if I need to take my budgie to the vet. I noticed a few days ago that his tail seemed to be bobbing slightly more than normal, though not too vigorously. He is a bit skittish, so I thought maybe he was just anxious about something. However, I just noticed he has thrown up a little. He appears to be eating, drinking, and moving normally. He also appears to be having both liquidy and normal stools.

Thanks for reaching out about Kiwi. Tail bobbing is often associated with breathing difficulty. This can be due to a respiratory infection, enlarged organ (liver, spleen), nutritional deficiencies or excesses (overweight) and others. Regurgitation can also be a sign of illness, with the above mentioned or ingested foreign bodies, toxicities. A veterinary visit is recommended, especially if continues to regurgitate or have increased breathing problems. Good luck.
