Why is my 3-month-old puppy limping, weak, and not eating?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Spitz | Female | spayed | 4 lbs

My dog is limping, not eating and appears to be weak and really thin. He got an injection today morning. He is not eating bones too. Only 3 months. What could be the problem?

There can be many causes for these symptoms in a puppy, including some bone growth disorders, nutritional deficiency, distemper virus, intestinal parasites, bacterial or viral infections, among others. A vet examination, x-rays, and/or blood work may be needed to make a diagnosis to be able to select the best treatment.
