My 17 week old female Shepherd puppy has a pea sized bump by her left rear nipple? I’m very hands on with her and just saw it today. she is very active and eats well. What should I be looking for? Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 25 days old | 36.4 lbs

Hello. For now, just monitor the area. Cancer is very rare in the very young, but it can happen. The good thing is that you found this very early. I would have your veterinarian look at this at your next scheduled visit ( this is not an emergency ). She may aspirate a few cells to look for any abnormalities, or just decide to monitor things as well. So at this point, just keep a good eye on things.
