My kitten has bloody diarrhea after eating too much. Should I worry?

My kitten is 10 months old, I have been on holiday for the last week and my mum has been feeding him, a sachet of food in the morning and in the afternoon, which is more than I feed him. since coming home yesterday he has had diarrhea with bright red blood in it, should I be worried?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Romesh. I recommend that he sees a veterinarian. The blood is typically from the colon. It can be due to inflammation from the diet change or an intestinal infection. Other internal diseases such as pancreatitis can cause this signs as well.
