I would recommend having Sadie examined by a vet. The area of redness in the eye that I can see in the picture does not appear to be related to the third eyelid gland (commonly called a cherry eye). This lesion appears to be within or under the sclera of the eye. Cancer, foreign body, or infection could cause this appearance. The vet may need to sedate Sadie to collect a sample for further evaluation to rule out cancer.
