Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Male | neutered | 5 years and 1 month old | 29 lbs
Hi! First off thanks for the amazing service you have. My pug Douglas has a red lump on his lower muzzle and I can't take him to the vets until Monday, and I can't get it out of my mind, I'm worried sick. He's still his same self, energetic, eating, being silly etc, but as said I'm very worried and was wondering if you could at least put my mind at ease until Monday. Thanks for your time Jake

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! This may be a benign or malignant growth. This could even be an infection. This cannot be completely assessed just by looking at pictures and usually requires sampling such as fine needle aspiration to determine its origin. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign. If he is otherwise doing well, it should be fine to wait until Monday. Good luck and have a good day!
