Jack is experiencing billious vomiting. He’s also had a complete workup and been diagnosed with IBS. The novel diet and prednisone have made IBS symptoms better, but billious vomiting has gotten worse. Added omeprazole, doesn’t seem to help. I try to feed late at night and first thing in the AM, but he’s not food driven, on a novel diet and if he’s already nauseous won’t eat. What can I do to entice him to eat when he needs to? I’ve tried pumpkin, low fat treats, rice, cheese.. I’m sad & worried

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Jack. I recommend asking his veterinarian to prescribe an anti-nausea medication such as Cerenia. You can also ask about an appetite stimulant such as Entyce. If these options do not help, then I recommend further testing to look for another cause contributing to his disease. I hope this information helps!
