My dog is scratching his eye, has a smudge. Is this a corneal ulcer?

Are you able see something In his eye he was scratching so when I look into it I found something like smudge on a lens so can you please check photos and confirm ne is it corneal ulcer or something more serious from last 10 days he started scratching now he's on Elizabeth collar

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Bruno. I do not see an obvious scratch to the surface of his eye (ie. corneal ulcer). However, many times a drop of dye is needed on the eye and a special light is used to detect an ulcer. He would need to see his veterinarian for this test. From there, proper eye drops can be prescribed. It is worrisome that the eye has been bothering him for so long. Keep the E-collar on him in the meantime to prevent any self trauma. I hope this information helps!
